About Us
Our Story

St Mary’s Mission Hospital is a group of hospitals with two (2) branches one in Langata, Nairobi and the other in Rift Valley – Elementaita, Nakuru County. We are a faith-based level 4 facility that offers affordable and accessible quality health care to the public with great focus on uplifting the dignity of the sick. We ride on our motto: “COMPASSION IN HEALTHCARE” to give a healing touch to anyone who walks into our hospital. We strive in the same spirit to offer holistic, evidence-based health care to our customers.

The Hospitals are owned and Managed by the Assumption Sisters of Nairobi Congregation, ASN. This is a group of catholic nuns whose core business is to uplift the dignity of the human person by being present in their lives, especially those underprivileged and the Sick. This spirit drives service delivery at St Mary’s Mission Hospitals.

The Hospital has a well-structured governance structure providing steady leadership. This flows from the ASN Trustees and Directors, The ASN General Council, The Hospital Board and Management led by the CEO and a management team with vast capabilities. We aspire to be “The Heart of Excellence” in clinical service provision. We look forward to having St Mary’s Mission Hospital stand out as a ONE STOP CENTER for healthcare provision.

We are NHIF ACCREDITED and offer in-patient and Surgical Services for “Free” once NHIF approves. For our patients who have surgical concerns, you will get in to your Doctor’s consultation room and have your diagnosis. If the doctor determines that you need surgery/ operation, we will check whether your NHIF payments are up to date and if they are, a Preauthorization will be raised to NHIF and once they approve, you will be admitted, have your surgery done and head home! This is a great milestone in strategizing with the Government towards achieving Universal Health care (UHC).

Hi moms, yesterday I took my best friend to St. Mary's Mission Hospital to give birth! Well, I gave birth there in 2016, somehow I had a terrible experience and I could not recommend anyone to give birth there. So yesterday to my surprise, things had changed than I thought! I was so impressed with their service. They have really improved! Nurses were so friendly, helped her walk around since she wanted CS but she ended up giving birth normal 3.8 Kgs. Usafi pia on those rooms, wow! been there from 10 to 7 pm and was allowed to watch over her! Anyway my message is if u are thinking of St. Mary's Langata and you are stranded, you can go ahead. Iko sawa, plus they are now taking NHIF unlike before. Thanks!

Thank you everyone for the calls, sms's, whatsapp, prayers and concern. At around 05hr30 at Elementaita area of the Nakuru highway on our way to Kericho, our vehicle rolled on the roadside trying to avoid a head-on collision with a trailer overtaking another trailer. Thanks to God everyone is okay apart from one passanger still nursing a fractured rib and has been admitted at Nairobi. Safety belts save lives and clearly i haven't finished God's humble work on this beautiful earth. Thank you St. Mary's Mission Hospital Nakuru for the quick ambulance response and hospital check-ups
