What we do
St. Mary’s Mission Hospital Laboratory forms an integral part of STMMH, offering 24 hour service at affordable prices. The laboratory is staffed with experienced laboratory technologists and well equipped with current state of art and technology.
Laboratory quality assurance programs implemented cover all aspects of the service including requisition, patient identification/preparation, sample collection & transportation/storage, processing, validation and interpretation of patient test results and regular internal audits.
These programs assure staff, clinicians and patients that laboratory test results are reliable, reproducible and relevant. Some of the programs include robust equipment, internal and external quality control, and continual improvement programs including staff training.
The Laboratory is accredited to ISO 15189 Standard having ascertained Quality and Competence as a Medical Laboratory. All routine tests results are available within one to 1.5 hours of sampling or receiving samples at the laboratory.
